Position: Mother Teacher-Grade 1

Job Location: Sy 161/1, C Block Lake, near Begur, AECS Layout, Singasandra, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560068

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Mother Teacher for Grade 1 who will act as the primary educator and caregiver for young learners, ensuring their academic, emotional, and social development. The ideal candidate should be nurturing, patient, and creative, with strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills. The role requires handling all core subjects, fostering a safe and supportive learning environment, and ensuring a smooth transition for children into formal education.

Note: B.Ed./D.El.Ed./NTT is compulsory. Freshers with strong teaching potential may also apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Responsibilities:

  • Teach all core subjects (English, Mathematics, EVS, Kannada/Hindi) as per the CBSE curriculum.
  • Develop child-centric lesson plans that are engaging, interactive, and aligned with early childhood learning principles.
  • Use play-based and activity-based learning methods to enhance student engagement.
  • Conduct formative and summative assessments to track individual student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ensure individualized attention to students, catering to their unique learning needs.

Student Development & Well-being:

  • Act as a mentor and guide, fostering a secure and comfortable classroom atmosphere for young learners.
  • Promote social, emotional, and moral development through interactive activities, group discussions, and value-based education.
  • Identify learning difficulties or behavioral concerns and work closely with parents and school counselors to address them.
  • Encourage creativity and curiosity by integrating storytelling, role-play, art, and music into daily lessons.

Classroom & Parent Communication:

  • Maintain an interactive and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents through PTMs, progress reports, and informal discussions to keep them updated on their child’s development.
  • Organize student-centric activities, celebrations, and cultural events to foster holistic development.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to ensure a cohesive and enriching learning experience for students.

Professional Development:

  • Stay updated with modern teaching techniques and child psychology trends to ensure best teaching practices.
  • Attend faculty meetings, training sessions, and workshops to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

  • Ed./D.El.Ed./NTT is compulsory.
  • Graduation in any discipline (BA/BSc/BCom) with early childhood education training

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in teaching primary or kindergarten students is preferred.
  • Freshers with strong teaching potential and passion for early childhood education may apply.

Skills Required:

  • Fluent in English and Kannada/Hindi, with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and nurture young learners with patience and empathy.
  • Creative and engaging teaching methodologies to make learning fun and interactive.
  • Classroom management skills to handle young students effectively.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools for interactive learning and assessments.
